Anthologies

What the Wind Picked Up

Another story of mine, The Great Lobster Race is included in What the Wind Picked Up, an anthology of stories written by members of Chi Libris, a group of Christian writers.

Going out with a Bang

My short story, The Mad Scientist, is a part of the Lady's Killing Circle Anthology entitled, Going out with a Bang. This anthology features short stories by Canadian women crime writers and is published by Rendezvous Crime, Canada.

When Boomers Go Bad

My short mystery story, A Nice Cup of Something Hot is featured in this anthology published by RendezVous Crime. In my story, a baby boomer takes up a very interesting scrapbooking hobby when her husband of thirty years leaves her for a younger woman.
This is the sixth anthology of sinister short stories from The Ladies' Killing Circle. When Boomers Go Bad takes a look at some nasty hippies who've made the trip from 'sixties flower power to corporate greed, from peace signs to no trespassing signs and from protesting war to profiting from it. Naturally, they've left more than a few bodies in their wake.

Northern Lights: An Anthology of Contemporary Christian Writing in Canada

I'm pleased to announce that 'Celestial Navigation', my essay about traveling out onto the Bay of Fundy in the fog aboard our small sailboat, is a part of this collection. Click here for more information.

A Novel Idea

My article 'How to Read Novels Like a Writer' has been included in A Novel Idea: Best Advice on Writing Inspirational Fiction. The book includes chapters on coming up with ideas, fleshing out characters, writing dialogue - and then my article which shows writers how carefully reading the novels you enjoy reading can help you become a better novelist. The book is available in most Christian bookstores, or can be ordered through online bookstores. Here's a link to the publisher's website.
